James Strean
Life Experience
James Strean was born in Ohio. He was educated in the public schools of Ohio and Indiana. He graduated from IU in 1850. He worked as a farmer and miller. He died from overwork building a mill at age twenty-seven. He was buried in Bloomington’s White Oak Cemetery.
