James Moreland Stagg
Life Experience
James Moreland Stagg was born in Kentucky in 1810. He graduated from Indiana College (now IU) in 1832. He worked as an attorney-at-law. He studied under Judge Isaac Newton Blackford. Stagg practiced law in Indianapolis, then moved to Port Gibson, Mississippi. He died in 1857, just shy of his forty-seventh birthday.
