Life Experience
Little is known about 1848 IU graduate D. L. C. Lane. Sometime after his graduation from IU, he moved out west. During the 1880s, he was deputy coroner of the Dakota Territory. A character of the same name appeared in the 1910s in both a “Three Musketeers” adaptation and a Western shoot-‘em-up stage play called “On the Heights.”
