Samuel Steele Elliott
Life Experience
Samuel Steele Elliott was the elder brother of Robert Gaston Elliott. Elliott was educated in Bloomington, where he and his younger brother, Robert, received their bachelor’s degreesfrom IU in 1850. He was principal of Knoxville Academy in Tennessee and a high school in Morning Sun, Ohio. He left behind some debts after he died, which his brother paid off by selling his horses and mules.

Elliott never married or had any children.
